A Maltese cross carved in relief from solid cherry, crossed axes behind it, your department on the banner above and a name on the banner below. Helmet, ladder, hydrant, nozzle and pike pole all cut into the centre roundel.
This is a deep carve and then a cut-out — the axe heads and the banner tails stand clear of the cross with air behind them, which is the part that takes the time and the part that makes it look like a badge rather than a plaque.
About 18 inches across. Cherry, sanded and finished clear so it darkens naturally rather than being stained to match anything.
Made for station walls, promotions and retirements. Tell me the department name and the name for the lower banner when you order.
Stock gets milled flat, cut to size, then carved or engraved on the CNC or the laser depending on what the piece needs. Edges are eased by hand, sanded to 220, and finished food-safe where it matters.

Stock pieces can come back within 30 days, unused, for a refund of the item. Personalized pieces cannot be resold, so those are only refunded if I got something wrong or it arrived damaged.
