Red Cedar Live Edge Monogram Tray

Aromatic red cedar with the bark edge left on both long sides, sealed under a poured clear top and fitted with brushed brass handles. Your initial goes in the middle, engraved inside a drawn frame. Red cedar is the most colourful wood I work with — deep purple-red heartwood running straight into pale cream sapwood, sometimes across a single inch. The clear coat sinks the colour and makes the whole thing look wet. Around 18 by 9 inches, though the live edge means no two are the same width end to end. A serving and vanity tray, not a cutting board. Wipe clean, keep it out of direct sun.
